Sustainability

Jumperfabriken is a Swedish clothing company with a focus on high-quality garments made from natural materials. Our pieces are well-tailored and timeless, designed to feel just as beautiful and modern, no matter the year or season. We create clothes that last a lifetime and can be passed on to future generations.

Our garments are designed with a feminine cut, inspired by the past, and made to be loved today and for the rest of your life. We believe in slow fashion and call our style Modern Vintage — taking the best from the past into the future.

Our clothes don’t have an "expiration date" but maintain both their quality and style over the years. At Jumperfabriken, we believe in the timeless and thoughtful. Our idea is that you build your wardrobe piece by piece, where patterns, fits, and colors feel relevant regardless of season or year. We encourage you to take care of your favorites, and you’ll have a collection of wardrobe staples to cherish for years to come!

"When Jumperfabriken was founded, I was really tired of the fashion industry. The fast-fashion mentality that prevailed at the time didn’t feel right at all. More and more clothes were being produced in poor-quality materials — frighteningly, mostly made of polyester and other plastic materials. So, in pure protest, I founded a slower, more thoughtful brand with garments made from natural materials. Inspired by the time when clothing was a craft, knitted and sewn to last and withstand the wear of time."

Elisabeth Synnes, Founder and Designer, Jumperfabriken Sweden AB

Materials

We aim to produce our garments as sustainably as possible, but it’s challenging to do everything right all at once. What we are already doing is working extensively with high-quality natural materials such as wool and cotton. Where we can, we use materials and accessories certified with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. We take small steps in the right direction every day, with every garment in each collection, and we will continue to do so.

Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®

A STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification means that the product meets high ecological standards, ensuring that it does not contain chemicals in levels harmful to health. STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is the world’s leading label for textiles, accessories, and products tested for harmful substance content. For more detailed information, click here.

Our Suppliers

We work with a select few, carefully chosen suppliers. By maintaining personal relationships with each supplier, we can easily ask questions and ensure that we have good insight into the production process. We also make sure that those working with our garments have a good and safe working environment.

Our garments are produced in countries such as Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, and China. We have signed agreements with all our partners to ensure that they follow the code of conduct regarding labor conditions and the environment.

Our goal is to be able to report information about every thread, zipper, button, and color used in a garment, but the process is complex, and production is multifaceted. Achieving full transparency in sustainability will take time. We can guarantee that we are already doing our best to ensure sustainability from the drawing board to the finished product.

Storage and Transport

Once the garment is produced, it is shipped to our warehouse in Borås. Production from Europe is transported by truck, and the vast majority of our production from China is shipped by sea. The garments are always packed as tightly as possible to avoid unnecessary packaging and save space. All of our web returns are sent back to the warehouse in Mölndal, where the items are inspected before being repacked and placed back on the shelves.

Clothing Care

Take care of your favorite garments! If you look after your clothes, they will be loyal companions in your wardrobe for a long time to come. Always read and follow the care instructions that are on the label of each item. We encourage all our customers to air, repair, and care for their beloved Jumper pieces.

Second Life

For many years, we have run a campaign in our Stockholm store called "Second Life." Here, we offer our customers the opportunity to bring in their Jumper favorites that they no longer use, so someone else can give the garments a new life. "Second Life" is usually held twice a year — once for spring and summer items, and again for warmer clothing in the fall or winter.

We always encourage our customers to circulate Jumper garments that they no longer use. Our clothes are built to last and deserve a long life, sometimes even with multiple owners.
